We offer a residential board and train program where your dog lives with Alexander, learns 17 to 24 obedience commands, and comes home a well mannered member of your family.
Your dog comes to stay with Alexander for a minimum of 21 days and works through a complete obedience program covering 17 to 24 commands, both on leash and off leash, in real world environments like stores, parks, and neighborhoods.
We accept dogs 6 months and older who are ready to start their training journey.
Every dog learns at their own pace, and that is perfectly okay. Your dog is trained to a standard, and if they need a little extra time, the price stays the same. You will never be charged more because your dog learns differently than another.
Alexander personally handles every dog in the program. Your dog gets his full attention from day one through the go home lesson and beyond.
21 day minimum · 6 months and older
Once your dog graduates from the program, they are always welcome back for a boarding stay whenever you need to travel. Alexander keeps their training sharp and reinforced while they are here, so you can enjoy your trip knowing your dog is in good hands.
Alexander is a United States Navy veteran and former law enforcement officer who served as a Lieutenant on a drug interdiction and narcotics task force. That background gave him the discipline, patience, and ability to read behavior that he brings to every dog he works with today.
As the owner and trainer behind Northeast Texas Dog Trainer, Alexander works with dogs of all breeds and temperaments through a comprehensive board and train program. Every dog that comes through gets his full and undivided attention.
When you bring your dog to Alexander, he is the one working with them every single day. You always know exactly who is training your dog, and you can reach out anytime with questions along the way.
Alexander uses a balanced training approach that blends positive reinforcement with clear accountability, tailored to your individual dog.
Training begins with food rewards to build engagement, teach new behaviors, and create strong positive associations during the early learning phases. As your dog progresses, tools like the electronic collar are introduced at low, communicative levels to reinforce commands they already know and build off-leash reliability. The e-collar is used as a form of consistent feedback, not as punishment.
Traditional leash work is a cornerstone of the program, establishing control, spatial awareness, and clear communication through gentle guidance and pressure-and-release techniques.
By combining these methods, Alexander is able to work with each dog based on their temperament, drive, and learning style, producing reliable and well-rounded behavior in both controlled and real world environments.
Every dog learns differently. Alexander takes the time to understand your dog and sets them up for success without changing their personality.
